Fat Blocker Plus with LipoSan UltraTM
You will directly benefit from taking the Fat Blocker Plus with LipoSan UltraTM in that you can take it when you first sit down to eat, not 30 minutes to an hour beforehand. Most importantly, you will get up to three times more fat binding and, thus, as much as three times less fat absorption. And all of this can be accomplished by taking 2-4 Fat Blocker Plus with LipoSan UltraTM capsules with lunch and dinner.
What is Chitosan?
Chitosan is a natural product that is derived from chitin, a polysaccharide found in the exo-skeleton of shellfish like shrimp or crabs. While it has been in existence for millennia, its current form has just recently been synthesized. Chitosan is a naturally occurring substance that is chemically similar to the plant fiber called cellulose. Unlike plant fiber, however, chitosan is “magnetically” attracted to lipids and has the ability, acting like a “sponge”, to significantly prevent fat in the digestive tract from being absorbed. Chitosan is not digestible; therefore it has no caloric value! No matter how much chitosan you ingest, its calorie count remains at zero.
Chitosan affects fat in the stomach before it has a chance to become metabolized. It dissolves in the stomach and converts to a gel, which “traps” fat, thereby preventing its absorption and subsequent storage. Chitosan renders the fat useless to the body. Technically, it creates a “grease ball” out of excess fat, which is then too large to be absorbed. Both the chitosan and the fat are excreted in the stool.
In one study it was reported that individuals taking chitosan lost an average of 8% body weight in 4 weeks. For a 200-pound person, this indicates a 16-pound weight loss, or 4 pounds per week. Ideally, if you neutralize fat after it enters your stomach, you spare your body from having to deal with that fat, and your body is better able to deal with stored fat.
Besides absorbing fat to promote weight loss, chitosan also inhibits bad cholesterol and boosts good cholesterol. It also promotes healing of ulcers and lesions. It has anti-bacterial and anti-candida action. Chitosan acts as an antacid. Chitosan helps to control high blood pressure. It may treat and prevent irritable bowel syndrome. Chitosan helps to prevent constipation. It is a calcium enhancer and bone strengthener. Chitosan also reduces blood levels of uric acid (which causes gout) and has been reported to have anti-tumor properties.
Chitosan seems to be too good to be true, but is it safe?
The answer is that chitosan has been safely used for more than two decades and is a safe ingredient that is biodegradable and environmentally biocompatible.
What is LipoSan Ultra?
In 1998, the Vanson, Inc. research team discovered a unique means to substantially increase the density of regular chitosan. As a result, LipoSan UltraTM was developed via this recently patented proprietary technology. Further investigation revealed that LipoSan UltraTM was different from regular chitosan in another, more dramatic aspect. Regular chitosan takes well over an hour to solubilize in stomach acid, and LipoSan UltraTM, however, requires less than one minute! The researchers recognized that the high rate of solubilization of LipoSan UltraTM in stomach acid had the potential to significantly impact its ability to bind fat as compared to regular chitosan.
-- LipoSan Ultra - the NEW IMPROVED Chitosan --
Faster Acting and Binds THREE Times More Fat than Regular Chitosan
Although the laboratory results clearly show that LipoSan UltraTM is a superior fat binder when compared to a number of representative chitosans, the true benefit of LipoSan UltraTM occurs in the digestive tract. When LipoSan UltraTM is taken at mealtime, its extremely fast solubility makes it available to complex with dietary fat for almost the entire time (1.5 to 2 hours) that the ingested food is in the stomach. By the time the fat/chitosan emulsion reaches the small intestine and begins to gel, LipoSan UltraTM has had the opportunity to complex far more fat - up to 3 times more - than regular chitosan, which may still not be fully dissolved. The complexed fat is trapped in the LipoSan UltraTM gel and protected from enzymatic (lipase) breakdown into absorbable free fatty acids. This trapped fat is now unavailable for absorption and is effectively removed from the body as waste.
How can I distiguish between regular Chitosan and LipoSan Ultra Chitosan?
LipoSan Ultra Chitosan is more expensive. If a company is using it, they will brag about it. If they just say "Chitosan," it's not LipoSan Ultra Chitosan.
How much should I use for best results?
The best results from the studies conducted by Vansons, Inc. (The company that holds the patent on LipoSan Ultra) were obtained when using 1 1/2 to 2 grams of LipoSan Ultra per meal. This equates to 3 to 4 pills per meal, so 2 bottles are recommended for a 1 month supply.
